If you are an existing / former challenge participants, this post is definitely for you

With our recent update, our monthly challenges will work as step up challenges rather than as fixed-goal ones.

We hope it will help us solve quite a bit of confusion which used to come from having to change distances at the last moment, not having a medal for the right distance, having to reschedule medal delivery for the next month, etc.

After all, it's going to be much more straightforward now:

• Join the challenge
• Keep performing challenge activities and submitting evidence through the month
• The system would be automatically updating your achieved goal (that's the distance we'd put on your medal eventually), your "in progress" goal, and your "step up" goal just so you could see what's coming

The main disadvantage there is that you won't be able to order a medal till you've reached your target, but, with the step up goals, you'd have to wait and see what you can do. Once the challenge is over and you know your achieved target, you will be able to order a medal / other awards, and we'll dispatch that medal to you soon after (a wiki page is coming up soon to clarify the timelines)

For those of you who have already joined our November challenges:

• Rest assured, you can request a refund if you are not happy with the updates, just let us know soon
• If you had opted for "delayed postage", your challenge has now been converted into a step up, and a site credit was added to your account. At the end of the month (after submitting all your evidence and seeing your achieved goal), you'll need to re-order the medal. Site credits will be automatically deducted from the prices at the checkout, so, apparently, there should be no extra fee
• If you had decided to lock into your target, you should see a special note (see example below) on the challenge page. Your medal is going to be dispatched around the 10th of December

PS. And what happens to the remaining October, and, perhaps, a few September medals? There are no changes there - they are going to be shipped in December (most likely not in the first days of December, but around the 5-10 of the month)
